MoveJoy – Terms & Conditions

Welcome to MoveJoy (“MoveJoy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website, platform, and services, including our AI voice, automation, SMS communications, and software tools for moving companies.

By accessing or using MoveJoy, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

1. Overview of Services

MoveJoy provides moving companies with:

  • AI voice agents
  • Call handling and automation
  • SMS reminders, quotes, and scheduling
  • Job booking and dispatch workflows
  • CRM integrations and communication tools

Our platform is intended for business use. By using MoveJoy, you represent that you are acting on behalf of a company or business.

2. Eligibility

To use MoveJoy:

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must have the authority to bind the business you represent.
  • You must provide accurate account information.

We may suspend or refuse service to anyone violating these Terms.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you may need to create an account.
You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain your login credentials securely
  • Notify us of any unauthorized access

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Use of the Platform

4.1 Acceptable Use

Users may not:

  • Use MoveJoy for fraudulent, unlawful, or abusive purposes
  • Send unsolicited marketing messages without proper consent
  • Violate telecommunication, TCPA, or carrier compliance rules
  • Interfere with the platform’s functionality
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, scrape, or clone our technology

We reserve the right to suspend accounts engaged in prohibited conduct.

4.2 Customer Data

Moving companies are responsible for ensuring:

  • They have appropriate consent to contact customers
  • They input accurate job/booking information
  • They comply with state and federal privacy laws

MoveJoy processes customer data on behalf of the moving company under our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

5. Messaging & Communication Policy

5.1 SMS and Voice Communications

By using MoveJoy:

  • You confirm that customers you contact have provided valid consent
  • You agree to follow all carrier, TCPA, and regulatory requirements
  • You understand that SMS deliverability is not guaranteed

We are not responsible for carrier filtering, customer opt-out actions, or messaging delays.

5.2 Opt-Out Compliance

All SMS messages sent via MoveJoy include opt-out instructions.
Customers may opt out by replying STOP, which automatically blocks further communication.

6. Fees & Payments

6.1 Subscription Fees

MoveJoy may charge:

  • Monthly subscription fees
  • Usage-based fees (minutes, SMS, API calls)
  • Setup and onboarding fees (where applicable)

6.2 Billing

All payments are processed through secure third-party providers (e.g., Stripe).
By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.

6.3 Refunds

Due to the nature of delivered services (AI voice minutes, usage, and messaging), fees are non-refundable, unless otherwise required by law.

If you believe you were billed in error, contact us within 7 days at alexi@getmovejoy.com.

7. Service Availability

We aim for high uptime and reliability, but:

  • We may perform maintenance
  • Outages may occur (telephony carriers, AI models, hosting providers)
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted service

MoveJoy is not liable for delays, interruptions, or failures caused by third-party providers.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Ownership

MoveJoy owns:

  • The platform
  • Voice agent technology
  • Software, algorithms, UI/UX, branding, and content

All rights not explicitly granted to you are reserved by MoveJoy.

8.2 Restrictions

You may not:

  • Copy or replicate any part of MoveJoy
  • Create competing services based on our IP
  • Remove trademarks or ownership notices

9. Third-Party Services

MoveJoy may integrate with third-party systems such as:

  • Telephony APIs
  • AI models
  • CRMs
  • Scheduling tools
  • Payment processors

Your use of third-party services is subject to their own terms.
We are not responsible for the behavior or performance of external providers.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MoveJoy is not liable for:

  • Lost revenue or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions or technical failures
  • Messaging compliance violations resulting from customer misuse
  • Incorrect or incomplete data entered by users
  • Damages arising from reliance on automated communications
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

MoveJoy’s total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 30 days.

Some states do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitation applies to the maximum extent permitted.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

MoveJoy is provided “as is” and “as available.”
 We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Guaranteed accuracy of AI-generated outputs

Users are responsible for reviewing booking details, quotes, and automated communication accuracy.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold MoveJoy harmless from:

  • Violations of these Terms
  • Improper use of the platform
  • Messaging compliance issues
  • Claims arising from your communications with customers
  • Misuse or mishandling of customer data

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • You fail to pay invoices
  • You misuse messaging features
  • Your actions create compliance or security risks

Upon termination:

  • Access to the platform ends
  • Fees already paid are non-refundable
  • Certain obligations (confidentiality, liability limits) continue

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflicts-of-law principles.

Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time.
Changes take effect upon posting on our website.
Continued use of the service indicates acceptance of updated Terms.
